Mel was born in Nelson BC Canada in 1959. When he was 15, he went to work for a sash and door company, worked there for 12 years and then he started his own custom cabinet shop,In 2018. After over 40 years as a cabinet maker, he closed his business and started working for UR Studio.
In his spare time, you might find him camping, fishing, or kayaking but most likely, he will be out working in his shop.
